Four New Things...

It all started with this back in 2009. My Granddaughter was turning one and my daughter (Charlie) was planning a Horton birthday party for her. She was going to make cupcakes for a cupcake tree (the new birthday cake) and she wanted to put a little Horton figure on the top cupcake. She made a little Horton figure with fondant for the top, her first go round with fondant and it turned out great. Since that time she's made Mickey Mouse, Yo Gabba Gabba and a few other fondant figures that slip my mind right now. Not surprised by that are you...my one little word for this year is "Focus". : )
Anyway, back to the title of this post. After making the fondant Horton my daughter decided that she would challenge herself to do/try/learn FOUR new things each year. She had just completed one of the four and was off and running..I'm not exactly sure what the other three things were in 2009 but I'm sure she did them. In 2010 she also completed her challenge of FOUR new things. One was taking a biplane ride, another was learning to crochet and once again I'm unsure of the other two. After talking to her about this challenge I realized that in 2010 I had also met the challenge of FOUR new things ( this, this, this, and this). I also did this for the first time and there is probably a couple of other things but you get the point I did atleast FOUR new things in 2010!  : )  This year I will be taking on the challenge of FOUR new things again and I challenge you to do the same. And trust me when I say it isn't hard at all, I did it in 2010 and didn't even realize it until I talked with her about it. Let me know if you play along, I'd love to see your FOUR new things and check back once in awhile to see mine if you'd like.

Enjoy,
SUSI

Hmmm - do I have to list my four things at the start of the year???

I love the idea, but not sure what new things I'd like to try - maybe that will evolve/emerge throughout the year :)

Hi Susi!

Guess who?... Thought you would never see me on here, I bet?
i was reading Danielle's Blog and jumped to yours.
I really miss you. So much has happened and changed that we lost touch. I know we are both on Facebook, but I stick with little and trying to get well. Please call me sometime. I know I can and will call you, but You are the busy one and I can't do much of anything.
I think you are one amazing woman who can "FOCUS" on everything life brings. I need lessons!

Take care and I am going to try 4 new things myself.
Your daughter is amazing too.

Love and miss you
Laura
