Be Safe, Enjoy Yourself and Have A...

Happy New Year

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne!

December Daily...

I've been doing good on taking my daily pictures but today I uploaded them and some are not so good. I'd better take more than one picture if I'm going to experiment with different camera settings. I still plan to use the ones I've taken but first I must try to fix them. Wish me luck. Here's the front cover of my album.

Happy Mail...

I received my scrap supplies today for the DYL class that starts on December 31st. Take a peek. I can't wait for class to begin but I need to get busy thinking about pictures and doing the pre-class assignment. I'm hoping that I don't fall behind this time around. I also took my first picture for my Dec. daily today. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

CZ METAV...Title Page...

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful and I hope your was also. On Friday we got our tree put up and decorated the outside of the house for Christmas. It's nice and simple just like I like it. We had a couple of busy days and I ate way too much so I will be avoiding the scales for a couple of days. However, I was able to get a few pictures together for my title page. I'm usually the one taking the pictures so I really don't have many pictures of my husband and I together. I'll have to remember to get a few of us together once in awhile.

CZ METAV...A Page...

I've acutally completed four page and have a bunch of the others partially completed. I still need a few pictures. This has been a awesome class. I love how my album is coming together. I think everyone should make one. I plan to set up a Flickr gallery to share my entire album when it's completed. The edges of all pages are lightly inked in brown but for some reason didn't show up on the scan. It's probably me...not the scanner. Once again if you'd like to take a scrap class head on over to BPS. Cathy Zielske has a great class starting Dec. 31st!

Busy, Busy and Busy...

Wow...it's almost Thanksgiving already. Time flies when your having fun. I've been busy working on my ME album for the class I started forever ago. The class is over but I'm still plugging away. I plan to have it complete by the end of the month. I'll be sharing some pages very soon. Next time I'll be smart and do the pre-class assignment. Speaking of next time I signed up for yet another class at BPS. DYL by Cathy Zielske...check it out here. I thought it would be nice to have something to do during the cold, dark, miserable season thats headed my way.

My husband brought these home to me on Friday.
Arent' they beautiful...so fallish! He Loves Me!

The girls came over and we scraped a little yesterday. I worked on my first ever December Daily album from Ali Edwards blog. It's coming along nicely. I need to add some embellishment and it'll be ready for pictures and journaling come Dec. 1st. Yeah me!
I spent a small fortune today at the grocery buying Thanksgiving dinner and such. The kids, grandbabies and my sister will be over on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. We'll have an eary dinner, some drinks and laughs on Thanksgiving Day and we'll be decorating the tree and the house the day after. There will also be plenty of snacks for us to enjoy. It's not a good time for the so called "diet" I pretend to be on but I'll get back to that at a later date. Next up...Christmas shopping...anyone wanna help?

A Little Sad and Talladega...

I'm not going to be here for Halloween this year. I'm going to miss my Grandbabies trick or treating and I'm not too happy about it...stupid race schedule. If I hadn't already paid for and received our tickets I would not be going. I wish that whomever makes up Nascars race schedule could make up their *%*$* mind.
We will be in Talladga for what they are calling the "Larget Halloween Party Of The Year", We'll see? It had better be good! We will be enjoying along with some rain and nasty red mud, The Mt'n Dew 250, The Zac Brown Band and The amp Energy 500. Hopefully our driver can pull this one off and win for us.

Y'all have a Happy Halloween!
Off to the Dega we go!

Catching My Breath...

WOW! This month is flying by, where has the time gone. It's been a crazy busy month, I hope you all are enjoying the Fall as much as I have been. I've been trying to have some fun with the Grandbabies since I'll be away Halloween weekend.

I visited the Apple Orchard with my Grandson's class this month.
He found out that he loves raspberries.
We took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

We went to Zoo Boo!

Took my Grandson to the Children's Museum Haunted House today...
No pictures allowed inside! What?

I had a sleepover with AM and another with Jayna this month and I've been working on my Me Album, I've got alot of things done for it, just not an actual page completed to share. I need to get some pictures together and I still have about half of the alphabet to go before I have my journaling completed. The class ended at the beginning of the month but I hope to have my album completed soon.

Falling Behind...

Here I go again...I'll catch up sooner or later. Maybe...seems I've been busy this month. The husband located a new park close to home, we visited it a couple of times over Labor Day weekend and have plans to visit it again this weekend if the weather cooperates. Note to self: Do Not roll down hills ever again. My class with CZ at BPS started (I'm falling behind a little but I will complete it). We had our third sleepover with our Granddaughter (you should see her dance). We've been going to some of our Grandsons football practices and games, they've yet to win but the little guys are fun to watch. We went to Irish Fest last weekend, perfect weather, good bread pudding, dancing and music. I've cleaned my scrap room and once again I've decided to start exercising. I've also started to write myself to do lists which really do help, go figure!
Today is the first day of Fall/Autumn, curious... what do you call this season? Anyway, it is my FAVORITE season. So I'd like to wish you all a Happy Fall. Enjoy!

I Scrapped...

Just a page...I'm also starting an online class next month at BPS...me...the abridged version. An album all about me! Check it out here! There was a pre class assignment to do, so I've been reading and working on it. My sister and I went to a CTMH workshop and I've been trying to edit a bunch of pictures. So much to do so little time. LOL!

Funny little story about this page if you can't read it. My Grandson was looking at the flowers on our deck, saw a flower bud, looked at me a said "Nana, looks like you got one about to hatch." I laughed till I cried. Funny stuff!

She's One...

Once again we had rainy weather. This family has a party...it rains! But things still went smoothly. My daughter and son in law worked their tails off for this little one's party.
Once the cake was on her tray I was sure she'd tear into it but she was so gentle with it. A little icing here and there and she wasn't a bit interested in wearing her girly Horton ears.

J & her cake...Yummy...icing!

Incredible Hawk...

This Hawk was hanging our in the tree we were sitting under while we were at football practice. He won! We moved out from under the tree so he could get what he was after, which I won't go into here. Love looking at them though, they are beautiful birds!

Sleepover Number Two...

We had another sleepover with our Granddaughter this month. She will be a year old soon. My how time flies. Once again things went great. She makes it to easy and her little smile just melts my heart. She loves that little book she's playing with below. I'll bet I read it to her 25 or 30 times. I'd finish reading and lay the book down, she'd pick it up and hand it to me to read again.
A note from J...Mommy, Please bring more books to our next sleepover, Nana never tires of reading to me. Love, J

Back at the Track...

For the what used to be the BrickYard 400...now the All State 400 (I think)! AM's first race and even thought he had been sick the week before, he was a real trooper. I'm pretty sure he had a great time and will be ready to go again. As you can see Pawpaw had a great time too!
Totally LOVE moments like these!

Not So Happy 4th...

This totally ruined our 4th of July celebration. We had a bounce house for the little and not so little ones, yard games, lots of yummy eats, an iced watermelon, fireworks and spent the entire day hanging out in the garage. It rained all freaking day!

Happy 50th To Me...

Well, it's here THE BIG DAY...and guess what? I made it and I must say it wasn't so bad after all! I looked out my front door and saw this (thanks kids)...darn...now all the neighbors know. Just had to run out and get a few pictures. A girl only turns 50 once you know!

Later in the day the kids and few family members showed up for pizza and cake. I'm pretty sure the candles were the husbands idea. For the last three years now I've been 30 something.
Oh my gosh....this was the best cake ever! : )

My husband got me Keith Urban tickers...in Vegas!
Yep...just a little excited!

and my Brother in Law and Sister in Law gave me this. As I pulled the tag they just kept coming out of the bag. 50 $1 bills. Clever huh? I thought I might use them in Vegas (for gambling) but since I'm not a big gambler I'll keep them tied up for now!

My night ended with fireworks (out of my kitchen window).

Ladies, I'm here to tell you...turning 50 ain't so bad...I had myself all worked up for nothing.

Strange Sighting...

We have a planter that sits on a table on our front porch. The husband moved the planter down by our flower bed to water it so as not to spray water on my freshly washed windows. He knows how I don't like that. LOL! A couple of days later he went to move the planter back to the table and there was a goose egg in the center of the plant. The egg was in perfect shape, no cracks or anything. We have no idea how it got there. If you have any ideas,I'd love to hear them.

Sleepover at Nana's...

Jayna and I had our very "FIRST" sleepover this month. This is a picture the morning after. She looks rested...right? We followed her schedule (her mommy gives you a mapped out time chart of how things should go) we may have been off a few minutes or so...but all went well and she slept thru the night. I'd love to get a picture of how she sleeps...sitting up...bent forward...with her head by her knees. Strange really but so cute. I can't believe she's even comfortable that way but she seems to be. She's such a joy to be around and I am looking forward to many more sleepovers with her.

Updating...

I'm a little behind on updating here. I hope to get caught up very soon. I'll be adding a few June posts and I let you know about something big that is happening to me in July which I am having a very hard time with. Can you guess what it is? Not only that but Facebook has a hold on me. LOL.

IMS 09...

We also visited the Speedway for Indy Car practice last month. The Speedway celebrated 100 years this year. The Pagoda had a neat mural on it. Click on picture for a better view.

The Pagoda

Anthony Michael and Pawpaw. They are supposed to be holding their fingers to make 24 for Jeff Gordon's number but they got it backwards and of course refused to listen to me when I ask them to change it up.

Conner Prairie...

Last month we visited Conner Prairie for Civil War Days. The weather wasn't all that great, we were all cold and left before the war ended. I managed to get a few pictures on the way to the battle field.
