A Little Scrappin...

Tomorrow the girls and I have planned a day to scrap. Last month three of us worked on an album for my hairdresser. I took it to her yesterday and she loved it. You can take a peek at it here. You can also take a peek at my precious little Granddaughter here. Is she sweet or what. OK! I got a little side tracked there but I just couldn't resist once I added that first link and saw that sweet little face I just had to share. Hopefully with the little bit of planning I've done I will get a page or two scrapped tomorrow. I know the girls have planned out a few things to work on and will be here bright and early in the morning. Off to bake up some brownies for tomorrow.

Enjoy Your Weekend!

A Story and Some Scrappin...

If you've visited this blog before you've probably notice we visit the race track once in a while. Anthony and Pawpaw more often than I. So I just had to share this story our Grandson wrote for his Kindergarten class. The green car he is referring to is Tony Kanan 's his favorite Indy Car driver. Is this not the cutest little story you've ever read? OK, maybe it's just me. I LOVE it. ENJOY!

Now for the weekend, Archivers is having a Make n Take weekend which starts today. The girls and I are going to get there first thing tomorrow morning to do the make n takes, a little mini book and also do a little shopping (yeah right) it's never just a little :) We will probably stop by the mall and have a little lunch when we finish up there. Later on Saturday I may (hope*hope) be watching little Jayna for a few hours.
On Sunday I plan to catch up on my PSE class which I'm just a little behind on (surprise). But for now it's B&J (original please), a little music, the husband and me. TGIF!
Have A Great Weekend!

PSE 7...

I purchased PSE 7 awhile back and until yesterday I really didn't know much about it nor had I taken time to try it out. A couple of weeks ago I got an email and low and behold this was what the email was all about. And yes I signed up immediately. The first class was released yesterday and thanks to that I now know a bit about PSE 7 :) I did my homework and uploaded it to the site. Class#1 complete.
Today Class #2 was released. I've uploaded the picture to my computer and now I'm here telling everyone (all 3 of you) about this class. If you are a PSE beginner go take a look. It may be the class for you also. I'd better get back to my homework for Class #2. I'll let you all know how it goes.

From the Husband...

Pretty Red Roses!
Thanks Sweetie-Love Them! He got a box of candy!

A Valentines Gift from Jayna...

and her Mommy of course.
One for Pawpaw and one for Nana! Love them!

Valentine Petit Fours...

Cute little bite sized cakes in no time at all!
Get yourself a frozen pound cake, a tub or two of icing and some pretty little sprinkles. Trim off the dark edges of the pound cake and discard, cut the frozen cake into one inch cubes. Put icing into bowls. Color with gel coloring if you'd like. Heat in microwave for 15 seconds. Icing should resemble heavy cream. Dip cake cube into icing (be sure to cover cube) slide fork onto under side of cube to pick up and tap onto the side of the bowl to remove excess icing. Carefully slide with knife onto foil lined sheet. Add sprinkles to top. Refridgerate until icing sets a bit (it will not harden). Carefully remove from foil and place onto small cupcake liners. ENJOY!
You could use your favorite flavor of icing instead of coloring it. I used about one and a half tubs of icing for one pound cake. It made 40 petit fours.

It's A Girl...

Here's a link for the album I told you all about back in January! You remember the one for my hairdresser, she's also my daughters and my sister's hairdresser. And like my daughter said "We LOVE her".
Oh and my thumb that I cut on the paper trimmer, it healed quite nicely but is still a little tender.

Spring Fever...

Yes, I know its a little early for this but the snow is pretty much gone due to the warm temperatures (50's) we had over the weekend and todays temperature is supposed to reach around 60 degree :) I had an itch over the weekend to do some Spring cleaning but the husband said I might be rushing it just a little and that we still had plenty of winter left. He's such a pessimist these days.
I took the day off work on Friday to take my son to the hospital for a procedure. He's lost a little weight and had a few other problems recently but everythings fine with him. He just needs to take better care of himself. I spent Saturday shopping with my sister, purchased these for the house, now I just need to get the husband to hang them. I also found some great sales on a few spring clothes here and even managed to get some grocery shopping done. Sunday I did a little Spring cleaning and gathered up quite a few items for my daughters yard sale in May. I've got quite a few older sets of SU! stamps sets to sale. Due to limited space I've decided to purchase clear stamps in the future. However, I will still be purchasing CS and other things from SU!
I hope you had a Great weekend!

Enjoy!

Snow Pictures 09...

Around 12.5 inches in all.

My daughter told me I should have put vertical lines on this to make it look like a bundt cake. Sort of looks like an angel food cake though!

I love the snow covered trees. Aren't they beautiful? And just look at that pretty blue sky!
