I received some beautiful flowers from the husband. I struggle so he will be receiving the usual, a card and some chocolates. What do you get your man for this special day?

My Grandson came to visit me at work and while he was there he left me a message on my desk. I thought it would be very appropriate for today.  Enjoy!

A Valentines Gift from Jayna...

Valentine Petit Fours...

Cute little bite sized cakes in no time at all!
Get yourself a frozen pound cake, a tub or two of icing and some pretty little sprinkles. Trim off the dark edges of the pound cake and discard, cut the frozen cake into one inch cubes. Put icing into bowls. Color with gel coloring if you'd like. Heat in microwave for 15 seconds. Icing should resemble heavy cream. Dip cake cube into icing (be sure to cover cube) slide fork onto under side of cube to pick up and tap onto the side of the bowl to remove excess icing. Carefully slide with knife onto foil lined sheet. Add sprinkles to top. Refridgerate until icing sets a bit (it will not harden). Carefully remove from foil and place onto small cupcake liners. ENJOY!
You could use your favorite flavor of icing instead of coloring it. I used about one and a half tubs of icing for one pound cake. It made 40 petit fours.

Valentines Card...

for my Grandson....the middle of the card has a couple of coupons in the pocket. This idea came from Paula. One of the coupons is for dessert at his favorite place and the other one is for a crazy day of fun. I also gave him a small candy bag with Hershey Kisses in it. He loved it and on Friday night we will be having a sleep-over (we do this once a month). On Saturday we will be having a crazy day of fun at GreattimeS and lunch and a milk shake at Steak & Shake...he calls it Bake & Shake. He has also decided that his favorite place for dessert will be The Cheesecake Factory. We will do this at a later date-probably next month.

My Valentines Day Roses...

Valentines Day evening didn't go so well. Jerk ass (as daughter calls him) at work decided to ruin the day. Husband came home totally pissed off...We did a little drinking and alot of talking about work and what husband is going to do. Things are still up in the air and no decision has been made as of yet.

Perfect Song for Today...
