Last Two Items...Found!

I've finally located the last two items on the SPSH list. Its been fun locating and taking pictures of all the items this Summer. I've also enjoyed seeing photos from others playing along. I'll have to remember to play along again next Summer. I managed to find all 21 items plus the 2 bonus items. If you'd like to see all my finds, go here.

#11 An animal in a zoo, aquarium, nature preserve, etc.
An Angel fish at a local pet store.

The Other Bonus Item....

Still only two more items to find. However, I did find the other Bonus Item on the list. Its actually me wearing my U.S.A. shoes. They are a favorite of mine but I only pull them out for special occasions.

Three Down...Two To Go..

Its getting down to the wire now and I've still got two more items to find. No fisherman in sight...yet!
#1 Open air market
This one was at our 18th Annual Irish Fest

#17 Candle(s)
My sister gave this candle to me many years ago.
It came in the neatest handmade box.
I can't bring myself to burn it and I've not seen
another one like it.

#18 Your local pub/bar, coffee house or tea shop
Brewskies
We've never stopped in but pass by it often.
Its a small place but it always seems to be very busy.

A Good Week For Hunting...

Although my leg has been giving me trouble and we've been busy with the house lately, I did manage to find a few items for the Scavenger Hunt. Someday soon I plan to do some regular weekly posts here but for now it is what it is. These were all found in downtown Indy.

A Few More Finds...

We've been busy remodeling around the house but I have managed to find a few more items for the Scavenger Hunt. By this time next week we should have the house back together. It's been a long 14 months, patience are wearing thin but we're almost there. I'll be spending Labor Day weekend putting the house back together and I couldn't be Happier. OK, enough about the house, here are the items I found last week.

#13 A fence, actually a piece of a fence.
I'll bet it would be prettier if the lavender were still in bloom.
I'll tell you more about that some other time.
#14 A stained glass object or a mosaic
This is my second mosaic, I will have one
of these in my garden next Spring.

#16 A windmill

Sunflare And A Plane...

I've often wondered how people capture sunflare with their phones. I still haven't figured it out but I accidently got a photo with sunflare and plane. I am hoping to get my Rebel out to shoot a few photos for the Scavenger Hunt but I rarely have it with me when out and about. Its been forever since I've used it, maybe soon but if not at least I'm checking items off the list with my iphone. I would like to get a good walk around lens for my Rebel but am unsure what that might be...anyone have a favorite?

I've Been Hunting...

We noticed a couple of very strange items sitting beside a bridge on the way back from lunch today. The husband wouldn't stop so I had my son walk down with me later to snap a photo. Although I do work in a very strange neighborhood, these were clearly out of place. I was a little leery of getting to close because look at them they are a bit strange. If you'd like to join the hunt go here for details. I'm checking off  Item #9 on the list. A photo with someone or something that is clearly out of place or doesn't belong.

Creepy...huh!

Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt 2013...

Sweet, Sweet Summertime...finally! Oh how I love thee! Summer has just begun here in the USA and while reading blogs this weekend I came across this post. I've decided to play along because:
 1.) I love taking photos
 2.) I like a challenge
3.) It is something I can include in my PL album and my four new things for 2013.
4.) And it will be fun!
I can hardly wait to get started and you and I have until Sept. 21, 2013 (the last day of Summer) to find and capture all 21 items plus you can substitute 2 items if you choose to do so. If you like to take photos, like a challenge and like scavenger hunts go here to check out the details. Let me know if you decide to play along, I'd love to see your finds. And if you don't own a camera or have a blog, no worries, most of us have our phones with us daily so there is even a # for Instagram. Sounds fun and easy, don't you think, so why not click here and get started. Print the list, save it to your phone, grab your camera and/or phone and enjoy the hunt! Good Luck!

Susi
