Sometime in January I signed up for a class over at Kinseys blog all because I wanted to make an i book. I had the pp I wanted to use (remember to buy a couple of sheets of pp if you really like them). I found some AC thickers to go with the pp at the local Archivers and I ordered a few colors of washi tape from an Etsy vendor. I also lifted a binder thingy from work. Shhhh...don't tell. I then cut the chipboard for the front and back covers and printed the forms for the inside of the book. Sometime in mid March I put the book together except for the AC thickers and just left it sitting on my desk. A couple of weekends ago the husband was away for a weekend and my sister and I got together to scrap and I finally completed it and a couple of other file folder items. I'm not sure why it took me so long to complete it but I've been told that I'm a wee bit picky when it comes to scrapping and when you see the simpleness (is that a word) of this book you will agree. Atleast I can check one thing off of my scrappy to do list. : )

Library of Memories...
I took this class awhile back over at BPS. I didn't get alot accomplished during the class but I am slowly working on it. Today I gathered all my 12 x 12 and 8 1/2 x 11 layouts together for sorting. I've decided to store all my 12 x 12 layouts in one three ring binder as I only scrap 8 1/2 x 11 these days. My 8 1/2 x 11 layouts will go into three ring binders also and I will use the suggested catagories from the class for starters. This is a very long process but hopefully it will get me scrapping more often. As Stacy said to me in a post on the boards..."slow and steady wins the race."

A Week In The Life Project...
I haven't given up on this one. I've been busy editing pictures today but still have a few to go. I hope to place my picture order sometime this week. I have also printed out Ali's Sentiment Tabs, Daily Tabs and Journaling Cards. I have decided that instead of reinventing the wheel that I will just follow Ali's design for the album. I still have to pick out some papers but that shouldn't be to hard as I have plenty in my stash. I read a few blogs that are also working on this project and I love how the albums are coming together. I hope to have mine completed within the next couple of weeks.

My One Little Word for 2010...
Ali Edwards has been doing this for a few years and I've decided to play along this year. Last year my life seemed very hectic, crazy a bit unbalanced if you will so I've decided that my one little word for this year will be BALANCE. I'll be taking pictures thoughout the year and making them into a mini album.
A few months ago I signed up for Cathy Zielske's DYL class which started yesterday and already I'm a bit behind. I plan to work on that a little later today. I've also signed up for Stacy Julians LOM class at BPS which starts next month. And last but not least I ordered a Project Life kit from Becky Higgins to work on thoughout the year. Sounds like alot for a person trying to find some balance in her life but I'm hoping with all these things to do I can avoid the winter blues which I seem to get once the holidays are done. Besides that I recieved a really great Christmas present from my husband which will come in quite handy for all the above. Take a look...a Canon T1i...ain't she pretty and how bout that awesome camera strap which was order from http://www.happysnapz.etsy.com/.

December Daily...
I've been doing good on taking my daily pictures but today I uploaded them and some are not so good. I'd better take more than one picture if I'm going to experiment with different camera settings. I still plan to use the ones I've taken but first I must try to fix them. Wish me luck. Here's the front cover of my album.

Happy Mail...
I received my scrap supplies today for the DYL class that starts on December 31st. Take a peek. I can't wait for class to begin but I need to get busy thinking about pictures and doing the pre-class assignment. I'm hoping that I don't fall behind this time around. I also took my first picture for my Dec. daily today. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

CZ METAV...Title Page...
Our Thanksgiving was wonderful and I hope your was also. On Friday we got our tree put up and decorated the outside of the house for Christmas. It's nice and simple just like I like it. We had a couple of busy days and I ate way too much so I will be avoiding the scales for a couple of days. However, I was able to get a few pictures together for my title page. I'm usually the one taking the pictures so I really don't have many pictures of my husband and I together. I'll have to remember to get a few of us together once in awhile.

CZ METAV...A Page...
I've acutally completed four page and have a bunch of the others partially completed. I still need a few pictures. This has been a awesome class. I love how my album is coming together. I think everyone should make one. I plan to set up a Flickr gallery to share my entire album when it's completed. The edges of all pages are lightly inked in brown but for some reason didn't show up on the scan. It's probably me...not the scanner. Once again if you'd like to take a scrap class head on over to BPS. Cathy Zielske has a great class starting Dec. 31st!

I Scrapped...
Just a page...I'm also starting an online class next month at BPS...me...the abridged version. An album all about me! Check it out here! There was a pre class assignment to do, so I've been reading and working on it. My sister and I went to a CTMH workshop and I've been trying to edit a bunch of pictures. So much to do so little time. LOL!
Funny little story about this page if you can't read it. My Grandson was looking at the flowers on our deck, saw a flower bud, looked at me a said "Nana, looks like you got one about to hatch." I laughed till I cried. Funny stuff!

ECWL Class/BPS...
This is the first class I've taken at BPS and I am totally loving it. Cathy Zielske is an amazing teacher. I will definately be taking more of her classes in the future. She has a class coming in September and I hear that BPS will be offering her DYL class again in 2010! :) I'm in for both!
Head on over there and take a look. You may find a class or two your interested in.

Yes..They Are Simple...
But that's how I scrap. I managed to get two pages done yesterday. Now that may not sound like alot to some of you but for me that really goooood. Mojo, maybe? I think I could have completed a couple more but ran short on time. It's amazing what a little planning can do. Go figure! LOL
My daughter calls these my Magic Boots. I love them, they are so very warm. Thanks Husband!

A little town not far from us had Scarecrows displayed at each store front. I love Scarecrows and just had to take a picture or two for scrappin.

A Little Scrappin...
Tomorrow the girls and I have planned a day to scrap. Last month three of us worked on an album for my hairdresser. I took it to her yesterday and she loved it. You can take a peek at it here. You can also take a peek at my precious little Granddaughter here. Is she sweet or what. OK! I got a little side tracked there but I just couldn't resist once I added that first link and saw that sweet little face I just had to share. Hopefully with the little bit of planning I've done I will get a page or two scrapped tomorrow. I know the girls have planned out a few things to work on and will be here bright and early in the morning. Off to bake up some brownies for tomorrow.

It's A Girl...
Here's a link for the album I told you all about back in January! You remember the one for my hairdresser, she's also my daughters and my sister's hairdresser. And like my daughter said "We LOVE her".
Oh and my thumb that I cut on the paper trimmer, it healed quite nicely but is still a little tender.

Scrapping...
I forgot to mention that while I was home Friday I managed to slice my thumb open. Yes, I was changing the blade on my Fiskars trimmer and I'm not sure how it happened but it is one pretty good cut, probably needed a couple of stitches but I opted not to get it treated. I've kept it clean and put Neosporin on it since Friday and it's healing quite nicely.
So on Saturday we (3 of us) managed to complete the Album for our hairdresser. It turned out great and as soon as my Daughter gets pictures posted I'll share a link. The album is something she designed, I just helped out alot. I did not realize how much work went into making a complete album as I have never made one. I have a couple of vacations albums I'd like to do, so once again just as soon as I get some of those oldies completed maybe just maybe I'll work on one.
I also wanted to let you know that I've stumbled across some really good blogs lately and I am working on adding them to my side bar. Take a look!

8:00 A.M. Sharp...
Let the scrapbooking begin. A couple of the girls will be arriving soon. I skipped work yesterday, as it was -12 outside, to freakin cold for me, got all my house work done and gathered up a few things to work on. My daughter and I will be working on a scrapbook for our hairdresser, she is due to have a baby girl in March. If I have time after we complete that, I plan on completing some of those oldies I have laying around. I did promise myself that I'd complete them before I started anything new. I can't wait to get those completed so that I can work on some new stuff, maybe these monthly crops will help motivate me.
