A New Year...

Ornaments...

As most of the ornaments on our tree are handmade and couldn't be seen in my last post. I'd thought I'd share a few. The angel was made by my daughter, it has been on our tree for 22 years. The star/santa was painted by me (in my Tole Painting Days). My daughter and I made the bear together. Every year it seems we add atleast one new handmade ornament to our tree. I just love all the memories associated with each and everyone of them.

Troubles...

Sometimes I think I have the worst of luck…our old tree went kaput. The lights were doing crazy things and I didn’t want the house to burn down so I got a new tree which looks a little better than the old one. Oh..and I couldn’t connect to the internet (thanks to Norton). I think things are fixed…at least for the moment. Here's a picture of the new tree-I just noticed the angel on top isn't working. That luck thing strikes again.

First Snow...

It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas. We got our first bit of snow overnight. Isn’t it beautiful?

A Little More Spirit...

Peppermint Bark Hearts-Aren’t they pretty? Try some out…

Small candy canes (shape (2) onto wax paper to make heart). Vanilla candy coating (melted). Spoon melted candy into heart shape and sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top. Cool in the fridge for a few minutes. ENJOY!

Christmas Spirit...

If you need to get in the spirit try this: Turn on the tree, the Christmas music, fix yourself a drink and bake some cookies. Always works for me. Trying out some new cookies this year. These are Rolo Cookies-very simple (4 ingredients) are they are quite tasty too .

Concert Picture-So Close!...

The concert was awesome-I had a GREAT seat-right next to the cat walk. I was so close I could reach out and touch him. And YES I did! This guy puts on a great show and WOW-is he ever good looking. I got a few good pictures but alot of them were blurry. Maybe next time! YES there will be a next time!

My Grandson (Spiderman) at his Halloween Party-very cold outside and at his Pre-School Halloween Festival with Dad carving a pumpkin for the school. Pumpkin guts anyone? Happy Halloween!!

Took our GS to the pumpkin patch and on a Hayride..Yea-awful picture of me but those other two sure are handsome.

Hot Air Balloon Ride...

Finally got to go on my Hot Air Balloon Ride...Five (5) Balloons together. We had a great time and the weather was beautiful. The first pic is of 3 of the 5 balloons. The second pic is another balloon doing the splash & dash-very cool. The third balloon is the one we flew in (Tickled Pink).

Beautiful Fall Weather...

Are you lovin this Fall weather as much as I am? This is my favorite time of year! I collect these little pens with fuzzies and images on top (not really sure why) but they always catch my eye. This one was just sticking up in the holder and caught my eye. Got some fun pictures to share soon. HAPPY FALL!!

WOO-HOO #24...

What a race! Jeff Gordon led only the last lap, the one that counted and won. Check out his burn-out below. Most of the fans were cheering like crazy-only a few idiots decided it would be smart to throw cans out on the track. Sure hope they enjoy their jail time. Well-we all had a great time and cannot wait until next year when we head back to the ‘Dega”. Happy Racing! Go Gordon #24! The other pic is DH & I at the campgrounds.

Time for Me...

I was talking with my DD today about some scrapbooking challenges for our crop group. We get together once a month and choose a challenge from a bucket that is supposed to be completed by the next month. I am such a scheduled person and according to my DD I have OCD which I have to agree with that I am lucky to get that one page a month completed. I really enjoy scrapbooking but just can’t seem to break old habits (work,clean,organize-repeat). So starting this weekend I am going to try to take a little more time for me and scrapbooking.

MWSC Class...

Thought I’d share a boardbook I made at the MWSC last weekend. The class was by Julie Creek with Creek Bank Creations, Inc. If you get a chance to take a class with her-DO IT-she is an awesome teacher. I still need to put pictures in the book but that’s the simple part. I’ve got alot of things that make me happy. Hope you do too!

Got a few plans lined up for the weekend. Going to the county fair with my son and his family. Also, going to a Round Robin (horseshoes) over at the neighbors. It should be interesting my husband and I haven’t pitched shoes in quite awhile. I may even figure out how to get a few pictures on here for you all to see.

OMG-Who would have ever thought that I’d have a blog. You see me and computers (let’s just say it takes me awhile to catch on). Well with the help of my dear daughter I’m gonna give it a whirl. I thought this would be a good way to keep in touch with family and friends and maybe even make some new friends. Stay tuned…
