OLW 2012, The Office and A Bride...

I first decided on the word DO (as in Just Do It) for my OLW this year but after I gave it a little more thought I decided to change my word to COMPLETE. It seems I am in the habit of starting things and not completing them. Most likely some of them will never be completed. This year I'm doing Project 365 +1...ummm not going to well. I haven't taken a picture (except with my iphone for Photo 365) for a few days. I wonder if those pictures count. I purchased the first Project Life kit three years ago, started it and I'm doing Project Life this year using that kit (see what I'm talking about)...going OK thanks to the iphone. I still need to print pictures and get the album together. I've been exercising alot more this year...which was going well until something went wrong in my back/hip area. I think it may be my Sciatica. Its feeling better and so far I've only missed 4 days but I hope to get back to exercising within the next few days. I'm also purging my entire house...this is coming along fine with just two rooms to go. : )
In other news, our offices at work have been torn apart. My daughter and I had two small offices and hopefully within the next week we will have one big office. The wall is down (it was between the two windows) and drywall should be going up this week. We are sharing the bosses office at the present time...not fun...too crowded!

This weekend we had our Granddaughter overnight, did a little shopping and had lunch together. Here she is modeling one of her purchases from out little shopping spree. I sent this picture to her Mom and her response was "are you trying to give me a heart attack???" LOL

I've Been Busy...

Working, exercising every day, eating better, purging my entire house (little by little), taking photos for Project 365+1, learning about "exposure" (I think I've got it figured out), taking photos with my iphone for Photo365, scrapping a little, trying to learn to edit photos in PSE10 (I plan to upload some this weekend), watching our Grandson play Basketball, having lunch with our Granddaughter, reading some photography class materials, enjoying our mild winter weather (well, I was until today!), thinking I should get some photos printed for Project Life, and I've been doing all this to try to keep from getting the Winter Blues! So far, so good! : )

Four New Things...

Four new things is something I started doing last year.You can read about it here. In 2011 I did this, tried this, did, tried and learned many things by doing this, and I did this. Very different this time around but I still learned a few new things. I wonder what this year will bring. We shall see!
I haven't gotten off to such a good start with P365+1 this year. I really haven't taken any decent photos yet! However, I do have some photos I can use for Project Life, so not all is lost. I probably should not have started out using a new lens (the Nifty Fifty). I've tried it out a couple of other times here and there but obviously not enough. I switched back to a lens I'm more comfortable with for the time being and I've been reading through some of my photography class notes for a little refresher. I do plan to use the Nifty Fifty again but first I need to practice with it a bit more.
I have set a couple of my plans for the New Year in motion. I've started to purge my home of unwanted things but I still have a long way to go. And I've also been working on Me. I've done some type of exercise every day this year and guess what, I still don't like it but I am already seeing results and feeling better. All in all, I'd say my New Year is off to a pretty good start. How about yours?

Five things I'm planning for the New Year:
1. I plan for my husband and I to get passports. I've had the forms completed for 3, yes 3 years now and we just have not taken time to complete the process. I will probably have to complete new forms but it will get done in 2012! We are planning a trip or two in the next couple of years and we will need them.
2. I plan to purge my entire house. I have to much stuff that I can live without and it has got to go!
3. I plan to make a few changes around the house, one room at a time. I haven't made any changes in a few years so it is definitely time.
4. I plan to work on me. Mind, body and soul.
5. I plan to continue to do, try or learn at least four new things in 2012. My daughter started this a few years ago and I joined her in 2010. I will be posting my four new things for this year in January, 2012. Tried anything new lately? Have any plans for 2012? I'd love to hear about them.

Prompt #52: Celebrating...One half of my living room after the Christmas morning celebrating.

Well...I did it, I completed 52 photos almost. I was one week late getting on the 52 photo bus so I missed the first photo. I'll add a little note to my album (once I get the photos printed) explaining why the first photo is missing. I'm off work for the next FIVE days so I hope to get my photos sent to print so that I can put them into a simple little album. I also thought this would be good practice for P365. And yes, I am planning to do P365+1 in 2012. Call me CRAZY but I'm thinking that doing so will help me improve my photography skills and that is something I plan to work on in 2012!

1. I'd love to have this so that I can listen to music while cleaning, cooking, crafting etc. Its a nightmare trying to use my husbands sound system so for now I just turn the TV to a music station.
2. New cookware. More of a need than a want. But I want it because I need it! The husband told me to pick this up myself because he wasn't going to buy me cookware for a gift.
3. A new rolling pin. I like the idea of the rings for rolling out dough.
4. A tripod for my Canon T1i. I don't know much about them but I may want to shoot the moon once in awhile. : ) I'm sure I will also use it for other shots.
5. Some new comfy PJ's to keep me warm this winter. It hasn't been too cold yet but I know its just a matter of time before old man winter wakes up.

1. My daughter and I visited and neat little shop at lunch today called Homespun. Lots of handmade goodies. I'm trying very hard to refrain from buying gifts for myself. However, I did purchase some raspberry lemonade pucker polish and a snowflake ornament made from the roof of the Hoosier/RCA Dome.
2. My sister and I are going to one last craft fair this weekend. After that I plan/hope to complete my Christmas shopping.
3. I have tried making a Dec. Daily once, spilled a drink on the inner pages and tossed all but the cover.
I then tried JYC, purchased some OA papers and embellies, printed all the prompts and photo tips, took the photos and did not even complete one page. And I call myself a scrapper. HA!
4. I really want to complete either a Dec. Daily or JYC album. Maybe this year.
5. I cannot wait to bake up some Christmas cookies but its a bit to early. I plan to start baking the week of the 12th.

When I told you all how much I love Autumn/Fall. Well, I'm singing a different tune now. The husband and I along with a little help from our Grandson have been busy raking and bagging leaves.
SEVENTY-SIX BAGS OF THEM!

And can you believe that we still have a bit more raking and bagging to do. I think I will let the husband finish up by himself. You see, it has turned cold and wet outside and I really, really dislike being cold. Oh and I'm pretty sure I used some muscles that I didn't even know I had. LOL I really need to think about exercising more often and getting myself in better shape. One should not be so sore from raking and bagging up leaves.

1. I started exercising again this week. I think it may be the third time this year. I hear that the third times a charm. We shall see! : )
2. I've taken a few photos with my 50mm lens this week. Its very different from the other lenses I've used. It going to take a little getting used to.
3. Exposure started last week and I've barely had time to work on the lessons. I hope to this weekend.
4. I started organizing/cleaning my craft room today. It seems that I may be a craft hoarder. NO really, if you could see I'm sure you would agree. But there is no way I'm showing you...honestly its a bit embarrasing.

It been a very busy month around here. I've attended a couple of festivals, visited the Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Patch, Zoo Boo and a Nascar race. Here are five photos for todays 5 on Friday.

Unexpected Gifts...The Best Kind...

A couple of weeks ago my daughter handed me a gift in a Christmas bag and said "this is one of four". She also said "you can open it if you'd like but if I were you I'd wait until I had all four of them". I have been tempted a couple of times but I do not intend to open them until Christmas Day. Guess what, that is only 60 days from today. Have you started your shopping yet? Me...No!

And last week I received a gift in the mail....all the way from Australia : ) My dear friend Paula sent me a box filled with Aussie Halloween Goodies. Thank you so much Paula. I will savor each and every bite and I may even share. LOL

1. I hope are you all enjoying the Fall/Autumn or whatever season is happening in your part of the world. Its been very, very busy here.
2. I love Fall festivals and have visited a few this Fall. However, I didn't find much to bring home. I love handmade items and it seems as if the vendors are buying goods in bulk and trying to sell them at the festivals. Heck, if I wanted that stuff I'd just go to Target or the Dollar Store.
3. I've been doing a little crocheting. I'll share photos once I acutally take a few.
4. I have a red, bruised knot that has appeared on the back of my hand three times now and within a couple of days it totally disappears. I have noticed it appears when I do alot of typing. If it keeps appearing I may have to see a doctor because it tends to be a little painful at times.
5. The husband and I are headed to Talladega this weekend for the Good-Sam-Club 500 Weekend. The temperature for Sundays race is supposed to be in the high 60's to low 70's. Just perfect for racing.

1. We are having Indian Summer this week here in Indy. The trees are beatiful and the weather is fabulous. I wish we could have this weather year round.

3. I'm on the lookout for some tall boots for the Fall/Winter. I really like these but I dislike ordering shoes online. I'm in hopes that they will have them in a store nearby so that I can try them on and bring them home.

1. Fall/Autum has arrived, my favorite of all seasons. I love, love, love everything about it! : )
2. My sister and I have plans to attend a few Fall Festivals next month. I cannot wait!
3. I've been wearing contacts for about 3.5 months now. My eye Dr. told me it would take awhile to adjust to them. Its been awhile and my eyes are not adjusting. I have one for close up, its great. The other one is for distance, its just not working for me. I guess I'll be returning for glasses after all.
4. I'm 3 weeks behind on my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks. I hope to catch up this weekend.
5. Do you have a favorite walk around camera lens? You know, one that you just grab and go. I own three lenses, an 18-55 mm/F3.5-5.6 IS, a EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS) and a 50mm 1.8 ( the nifty fifty). I'm not sure any of them are my favorite but I use the 18-55 mm the most, the 55-250 mm the least and I've just started to use the 55 mm. I'd like to get another. Any suggestions?

(Long Post)...You May Recall...

On my last 5 on Friday post I told you all that my sister and I were going to visit a lavender farm. Well, we didn't quite make it. Early Saturday morning my daughter called and needed some help (although she would not ask because she knew I had plans) making 120 wedding favors for a wedding that evening. She had to come up with something quick and she also had to shop for supplies to make the favors. So my sister and I changed our plans and helped her out. The favors were nice but simple and we completed them in time for the wedding. : )
Later that afternoon when the husband got home from work, we had a drink and decided that we would go out to dinner and stop by our Grandsons football game. Dinner went well and off to the football game we went. As we were walking up to the football field I said to my husband "I don't feel so well. You had better hold onto me." He said "lets go over here and sit down." I said "NO you need to hold onto me right now!" Next thing I know I wake up in an ambulance and am being told that they are taking me to ER at a local hospital. I must have passed out again because I woke up in a hospital bed. They admitted me for a couple of days, did blood work, a CT scan, an Echocardiogram, hooked me up to a heart monitor and gave me lots of potassim chloride and some meds via IV. The Dr. told me that I was dehydrated and that I had a slight UTI. He also said that when you eat all the blood goes to your belly to help with digestion, that combined with dehydration and a UTI created the perfect storm which caused me to pass out. They prescribed some meds for the UTI, told me to stay hydrated, follow up with my family Dr. and sent me home on Monday afternoon. I slept alot on Monday evening and stayed off work on Tuesday to get some much needed rest.
I went back to work on Wednesday not feeling 100% but I made it through the work day. On Thursday morning I ask my husband to drive me to work because I wasn't feeling well. My head was spinning, I had a major headache and I was very nauseated. We were not there long before we were headed back to the ER. My husband was sure that the meds for the UTI was the problem. You see, I do not do well with meds. Once again, blood work, a cocktail of meds, a little more potasium chloride, more meds, and an MRI. They kept me there for awhile, checked the test results, made sure I was feeling better, told me to schedule an appointment with a Neurologist and sent me home. I was so loaded up with meds that I slept until the next day. I dont' think I went to work on Friday but at this moment I can not remember.
On the following Tuesday I had a appointment with my family Dr. I talked to her about a few issues I was having since leaving the hospital and she assured me that said issues were all normal. She looked over all the test that were completed at the hospital and told me that she did not think it was necessary for me to see the Neurologist. This made me very happy as I'm a ~~little~~ lot claustorphobic and was not looking forward to another MRI. She also told me to call her if need be and to pay close attention to my body, which I have been doing.

One good thing came from all this. Thanks to the hospital I finally broke my Diet Coke habit. I tried one other time but after a couple of days of terrible headaches from not having the caffeine I gave up. The unit I was on at the hospital only had caffeine free Diet Coke and I guess I had enough meds in me to get me through those terrible headaches. So I've went from drinking 4 or 5 a day to 6 oz once in awhile and some days none at all. It doesn't even taste good to me anymore and I hear that drinking water and OJ is really good for you. : )

One last thing. My dear, sweet husband said kiddingly to me " You could have used all that money you spent on hospital bills for your Australia trip." Is that mean or what? : (

1. This will be my last post from my Dell PC. We purchased a couple of HP TouchSmart PC's at work and I purchased one for home. I LOVE the large screen and the fact that everything is built into the screen which means no tower and less wires. I'm anxious to get it up and running.
2. I have finally edited all my photos for WITL and I am in the process of choosing which photos to use for my album. I think I am just going to go a different route with the album instead of trying to change the date on the tabs that I purchased in 2010. Those of you who offered to help with this, Thank you!
3. My sister and I are going here this weekend. I'm excited, I love the scent of lavender.
4. My husband loved his Indy Car drive. His top speed was 166.11 mph. .......o-^-o

1. I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with my friend Becky and her family last week. They moved to Florida a few years ago. We have been friends for 35 years and although we didn't spend alot of time together after we had kids (different schedules) we did talk often. We do not talk often enough these days and I need to change this ASAP!
2. There was a tragic accident at our State Fair during the Sugarland concert last weekend.You can read about it here. Please keep those afflicted by this in your thoughts and prayers.
3. I signed up for this FREE class a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the kit (less decision making on my part) and since I am home today I hope to get at least a few pages completed.
4. I'm headed here this weekend but not to see a race. My husband (he feels the need...the need for speed) will be driving an Indy Car at speeds around 160 mph. (this is not the first time). I'll let you know how it goes next week.
5. I will also be attending a Fairy Princess party this weekend. My sweet little Granddaughter will be turning 3 yrs. old...already!

1. My WITL album is slow going but I'm working on it. I purchased some of Ali's WITL items from Designer Digitals last year and I don't think the year can be changed on the tabs although I'm unsure as I do not have much experience with PSE and digital stuff. So I may have to come up with a new plan for my album. : (
2. I have been doing a little bit of scrapping. I almost completed an album I started in 2007 ( one page to go) and I also scrapped one LO last week. : )
3.After being retired for a whole 6 1/2 months the husband is back working full time and by full time I mean 6 to 7 days a week. Not fun!
4. These brooches are amazing and I'd love to have one. I'll have to keep my eye on her Etsy shop to see if and when they may be available for purchase. My denim jacket is begging for one. Really!
5. Work has been tough for the last few months but thankfully things are looking up. Still, I plan to take a few days off soon. My mind needs a break before I break.

WITL: Saturday...My Grandson was my photographer today. He was having alot of fun taking picture of me getting ready to go shopping. I told him he had to leave the room so that I could change clothes and he said "I'd better not take pictures of that Nana...its illegal". LOL!

1. The husband is back at work for now. I'm not all that happy about it but he seems ok with it. That man has more motivation than any person I've ever known. You'd think it would have rubbed off a little by now.
2. Last night, since my husband has been away at work for around 12 hours a day this week I decided to once again start trying to organize/clean my scrap/craft room. You would not even believe all the crafty stuff I have crammed into that small little room. It even surprises me and I bought most of it. I think I may have a problem. : ) Maybe I should stick to one craft or another instead of buying and trying out every craft that catches my eye. However, I did get a few things out of their packages and organized. Someday soon I plan to craft again.
3. I have once again decided that I will attempt Ali's Week In The Life project. Third times a charm...right! She has a daily sheet download that I plan to use and I will be using the baseball card page protectors, journal cards etc. that I purchased last year from Designer Digitals. I have not had the chance to shop for the dish drainer but I did find a basket at the Dollar Store to keep it all gathered up until I acutally put the album together.
4. Here's a neat little gift idea. I especially think the teenagers would love it. Really, who doesn't love money.
5. Remember this pretty scarf from last Fridays 5 on Friday. Its mine now! : ) Pretty, Pretty!

1. I had 4 days off work last weekend. The husband and I visited Nashville, IN on Friday. We had lunch, walked around town, did a little shopping. He bought me a chalkboard chicken and some bath salts. On Saturday we did a little mall shopping, on Sunday my son had a BBQ, we had lots of good food, played games, I had a birthday, we had ice cream cake, I received some cards (one from Australia) Thank you Paula, a stepping stone from my Granddaughter and lots of love. We ended the night watching fireworks. And on Monday the 4th the husband and I stayed around the house until it was time to head downtown for fireworks. Have I told you how much I LOVE fireworks? I have now! : )
2. Last weekend I also read up on how to take photos of fireworks. Some of the blogs I read had tips/tutorials and of course I got out my "Understand Exposure" book. Guess what...I DID NOT get any good photos of the fireworks from the weekend. Boo!
3. Do you like to organize...I do. How about using a dish drainer. Love it! I may use it as my set up for Ali's Week in the Life project.
4. Check this out if you like scarves. I own a couple but have yet to wear one except of course a nice thick one in the winter when I try to put everything possibe on this body to keep it warm. I may have to pull one of the frilly ones out and give it some warm fresh air. I love this one but its not mine. YET!
5. I've got to tell you this...Sneaks drive me crazy. You know what I'm talking about. Those piecy/part pictures of scrappy pages, kits etc. I understand sneaks but they still drive me crazy. Always have, always will!

1. OK! the antibiotics did not help, it was not strep. I googled my symptoms and was sure that I had tonsillitis. So I went to see the Dr. last week and found out that I had a majorly inflamed right tonsil and a middle ear infection in my right ear. She prescribed another round of antibiotics. That's like 3 rounds in one month. Geesh! I am happy to say that I'm feeling better but I'm still having a bit of swallowing issues with the tonsil. If I'm still having issues on Monday I will be calling the Dr. for another appointment.
2. I used to tumble but now I'm pinning. Pinning seems to be much more addictive.
3. I attended my first Creative Memories party last night. Nice but pricey!
4. I'm contemplating doing this again. I've taken pictures for it a couple of times. The first time I just flat out gave up on completing the album and the second time my MIL passed away.
5. We are planning on going here this weekend if the weather permits. Its been real windy, a bit chilly and we are expecting rain for the weekend. I'm wondering what happened to Summer?

Sometime in January I signed up for a class over at Kinseys blog all because I wanted to make an i book. I had the pp I wanted to use (remember to buy a couple of sheets of pp if you really like them). I found some AC thickers to go with the pp at the local Archivers and I ordered a few colors of washi tape from an Etsy vendor. I also lifted a binder thingy from work. Shhhh...don't tell. I then cut the chipboard for the front and back covers and printed the forms for the inside of the book. Sometime in mid March I put the book together except for the AC thickers and just left it sitting on my desk. A couple of weekends ago the husband was away for a weekend and my sister and I got together to scrap and I finally completed it and a couple of other file folder items. I'm not sure why it took me so long to complete it but I've been told that I'm a wee bit picky when it comes to scrapping and when you see the simpleness (is that a word) of this book you will agree. Atleast I can check one thing off of my scrappy to do list. : )

Week 4...all outdoor photos for me. I haven't been feeling well so I missed one photo for the week and I also used the plane/blue photo for 2 prompts therefore I only have 5 photos for my collage instead of 7. I did take all of my photos in May and even though I'm a couple of photos short I'm still giving myself credit for completing this project. I had alot of fun playing with different settings on my camera and I plan to play along with CY365 soon.

I've been sick and slow so I'm a week behind in posting my 52 photos. This is last weeks prompt and the picture was actually taken last week. It's been a little chilly here this week. I'm ready for it to warm up again. I'm trying something new (to me) uploading from Flickr and my Iphone. I'll get this thing figured out yet or I should say Charlie (my daughter) will get this thing figured out. She's very helpful. : )

Prompt #23: Polaroid...The temp in my car one day this week was 111 but by the time I got my phone out it had dropped to 108. The car was even parked in a shaded area.

1. I've been sick for about 1 week. Strep throat...anitbiotics, tylenol, ibuprofen, tons of kleenex and popcicles. Totally ruined my 3 day weekend. I'm getting better...thank God!
2. Last week my May Merriment photos did not go well. I only have a few photos for the week. I'm wondering if I should just do the prompts now that I'm feeling better and call it done. I am also behind on my Power Scrapping class. Woe is me!
3. We saw Daisy (the duck) this week. She and 7 of the little ones seem to be doing just fine. : )
4. We now have (2) Robins (named Rosey & Ralph) with a couple of babies. I've tried to get a photo of them feeding the babies but I can't seem to get it right. I read up on it a bit last night and will try again this weekend. It really is sweet to watch them feeding the little ones.
5. Our annual Zoo trip is tomorrow. Looks like its going to be a hot one with temperatures in the 90's. Our Zoo has a new Tiger exhibit this year and hopefully the Tigers will be out and about so that we can actually see them.

1. My eye Dr. appointment went well. I decided to go with contacts but I don't think the prescription is quite right. I'm still seeing some blur from time to time. They did tell me this might happen and I have another appointment scheduled on June 3rd.
2. I've been reading the two photography books I purchased ( love them) and have even tried the big 'M' mode on my DSLR. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it although its not perfect yet. : ) However I am still having a bit of trouble with action shots even when using TV mode. : ( Practice makes perfect right! right!
3. I'm a few photos behind on my CY365 May Merriment project because:
1). I do not like to take photos of food but I am trying and...
2). The contacts that I mentioned up there in #1.
4. We are in week 2 of the Power Scrapping class I'm taking over at BPC /BPS (not sure what to call it now). Guess what? I'm a little ( just a little) behind but I plan to catch up this weekend, possilbly tonight. I'm really excited about this class and so far it all seems pretty simple. : )

5. No guesses on the ducks... 9 maybe 10 of the 11 eggs hatched on May 25, 2011 and at around 7:30 they were hopping out of the nest onto our porch. They were staying very close together and it was hard to get a head count. I hope they survived as it was storming pretty bad that evening and I have not seen the babies again. We did see what may have been Daisy sitting on the nest on May 26, 2011 but she didn't stay long and she has not been seen yet today. I took alot of pictures while the eggs were hatching and got a few really good ones. It was amazing to sit within 5 feet and watch the eggs hatch. My camera battery was low so I put it on the charger and didn't get any pictures of them once they left the nest. I was sure I'd have time and to top it all off I forgot I had another charged battery in my bag. : (

1. Eye Dr. appointment today...maybe I'll be able to put down my trombone!
2. I purchased two books yesterday.
    1). Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. This one is highly recommended.
    2). Canon Rebel T1i/500D: From Snapshots to Great Shots by Jeff Revell.
3. I plan to read a little this weekend but I glanced through both books last night.
4. The "Power Scrapping" class has started at BPC. Week 1...choose photos for 5 pages. Easy enough!
5. I've named the duck in our flowerbed "Daisy" and both my husband and I talk to her every day.
    We are not sure how long she had been there but we are guessing somewhere around 4 weeks.
    Who wants to take a guess as to when the eggs will hatch? There may be a prize for the winner! : )

Its Never To Late To Keep A Journal...

I have received two different types of journals from my daughter within the last 5 years. One of them even came with a jar full of prompts. I think I have written in each one of them one time...yes only one time. I'm not sure why but its not something I think of doing on a daily basis. But after watching this video that was posted over at CY365 I really wish I would have put a little effort into writing something down atleast a few times a week. I think when I return home tonight I will pull them off the shelf, dust them off and journal a little. And maybe, just maybe someday my children and my Grandchildren will read them and recall some forgotten memories of our lives together.
I also saw this awesome Google commercial a couple of weeks ago. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I see it. I've been telling everyone about it especially those with little ones.
Go take a look at the video and/or the commercial. They have inspired me and I think you will be inspired to write a little too!

1. This week I decided that I'd like to have a bit of a different hairstyle. Bad idea. I Do Not like it and cannot wait until June 14 so that I can get it cut and styled the way I've had it for the last 5 or 6 years.
2. I had a Dr. appointment this week and found out that I am 1/4" shorter. Other than that everything is good. He told me that I had a boring medical history. Good for me...not so much for him. : )
3. I also found out while at the Dr. that they now have a tablet you can take before getting a colonoscopy. I've dodged it for now but at least I know that when my time comes I will not have to drink the terrible tasting stuff. I'm pretty sure my time will come next year, not because I'm unhealthy but because of my age.
4. My retired husband received his work schedule and hang tag in the mail yesterday. He will be a yellow shirt (safety patrol) member at IMS starting tomorrow. He told me that he'd like for me to take a picture of him in his yellow shirt (uniform). This is rare as he usually throws his hand up or makes some terrible face when I try to get a picture of him. He applied for this position for three reasons. 1). He loves racing. 2). His father was a yellow shirt years ago and 3). He LOVES racing.
5. I will have the rest of the weekends in May to myself. Ahhh...looks like I may get a few things checked off my to-do list.

1. One of my favorite Easter pictures. My pretty girls. : )

2. The weather has been terrible this week. We've had lots of rain and strong winds. I hope we have better weather soon.

3. We have a mallard duck nesting (11 eggs) in our raised flower bed. I'm worried about how the little ones will get down if/when they hatch without getting hurt. I'm pretty sure that my husband is tired of hearing me talk about it but I am truly concerned about this.

4. The ROYAL WEDDING. Did you watch? I have it DVR'd for later viewing although I did watch a bit of in on my PC at work. Beautiful dress, lovely Bride, proud Prince, and the HATS. I'm still laughing a bit *alot*. The one with the pink bow sticking straight up, stuck to the front of that girls head (Prince Andrew's daugher, if I remember right) has got to be the most ridiculous looking hat I've ever seen. Take a look. Now LOL! You know you WANT *HAVE* to. HaHa!

5. My grandson and I are having a sleepover tonight and heading to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory tomorrow. Its our favorite place to have lunch together. : )

1. I think my body is finally adjusting to the Zyrtec I've been taking for these nasty allergies. I feel much better, have a little more energy and am sleeping like a baby, most nights. : )

The morning started out a little on the chilly side but it did warm up a little by the time the race started. My sister and I finished the race in 40 minutes give or take a few seconds. I made a little collage but alot of my pictures were blurry (not sure why) as my camera seems to be working fine. The Zoo had an elephant standing on a hill about half way through the race with breast cancer ribbons painted on its ears. Click on the collage for a better view.

1. Allergies...yuck, don't like em, don't want em and the meds zap me. So its really a lose lose situation.
2. My husband, the dog and I took a long walk through a park yesterday. I LOVE SPRING minus the allergies.

1. I haven't been sleeping well this week. Why? Who knows. Stress maybe! I hope to sleep in on Saturday.

1. Once again the husband did the house work this week, all of it including the windows, inside and out. He's such a sweetheart and I really appreciate all he does for me. *kiss*kiss*
2. I am now signed up for this and it will be interesting to see how long it takes me to walk a 5K. Any guesses?
3. I've been wanting to try out digi scrapping for awhile now so I signed up for this class. It will give me a chance to use the digital scrapping supplies that I have accumulated from other classes I've taken in the past.
4. The blueberry donut holes from Dunkin' Donuts are wonderful, I'm eating one right now! : )
5. I'm trying to talk my daughter into doing a craft show with me in the future. If so we need to make a plan and get our craft on!

1. My retired husband cleaned most of the house for me yesterday while I was at work. : )
2. I've found something new that hopefully the husband and I will enjoy doing together.
3. We've tried to find one cache but failed twice so far and they say its an easy one to find. HA!
We will not give up. We plan to look again this weekend but that will depend on the weather.
4. My husband thinks that city girls ( as he calls me) are dumb enough to stick our hands into a brush pile while hunting for the cache. Umm...no city girls are not dumb we know all about spiders, snakes and critters. Golly, geez you'd think after being together for 23 years he'd know me better than that. I don't like spiders and snakes (sing along) or critters.
5. Have you seen this. Poor doggy. Mine swallows/gulps hard when he gets into trouble.

2. I made one of these in less than 20 minutes last weekend. Easy peasy, inexpensive (less than $3.00) blue and oh so pretty.

1. I need to get signed up for this ASAP. I will be walking for a friend (Saffron) and a sister in law (Donna) both of whom lost their lives to breast cancer.
2. I am on the lookout for an old window (like this) to hang above my shamantle (shelf/mantle). I also wouldn't mind having that laundry room in my house.
3. I did a little scrapping last weekend. I'm waiting for one last item to arrive in the mail before I can complete it.
4. Looks like we will be getting a free shagbark hickory tree to plant in the yard. Jayna and Pawpaw will be planting this one. Pawpaw doesn't know yet but he told me he needed to plant a tree with Jayna.
5. I wonder how long one should start planning before visiting another country? I need to start by getting a passport.

This was not a favorite subject for me. All I could think of was faces and to take a picture of myself which I really did not want to do. After complaining to my husband about it he, who by the way never lets me take his picture turned to me, removed his glasses and said "here take a picture of me but you can't let anyone see it". I said "OK" knowing that I would be using it for this weeks prompt. : ) I knew I couldn't ask him to move into better light or he would change his mind. So I just pointed the camera and took a shot.

Prompt #10: Wrinkles...My husband. Not really many wrinkles but hey he volunteered! : )

I also came home from work on Tuesday, walked into the living room and the dogs chair was a mess. I straightened it up and he jumped into it and wallowed in it until it looked exactly like it did before I straightened it. I guess he was letting me know that he likes it messed up. Me..not so much!
