Done...Finally!!!

For most of the month we have been raking up leaves. Yesterday we finished the job. Altogether we raked up over sixty-40 gallon bags of leaves and my body is sure feeling it. Here are the last of them. There are somewhere between 35 - 40 bags in the picture. The rest have already been hauled away.  Next up----SNOW shoveling....NO...I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!  So far though the weather has been great and I haven't had to pull out the winter coat. : )  but I'm sure its just a matter of time.

Last Minute Gift...

I decided awhile back what to get our Grandson for his birthday but I didn't want to take care of them any longer than I had to. So last night we made a run to the pet store to pick up his gift. Today we gave his gift to him and he LOVED them. He named them Georgia and Henry. The one with the colorful shell is Georgia because its pretty and Georgia is a girls name. Georgia is very active. Henry is a little shy. I guess we know who the boss is  : )

No Way...I Can't Be Old Enough...

to have an 8 year old Grandson. But its true...as of today he's 8 years old and his new haircut makes him look so grown up. We celebrated with cupcakes and ice cream today. His big party will be this weekend.
HAPPY 8th Birthday AM...We LOVE You...

I Did It...

OK...it's not perfect but I'm just a beginner. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. It's not a scarf, which would have been much easier. Its a cloche which involves crocheting in the round, not really something a beginner should tackle for their first project. OK second project...we made a mug rug in class. Anyway it's finished...I did have to take out a few rounds once or twice and there are a couple of joining mistakes but I think it turned out fairly good. The pattern is from a book I purchased over thirty years ago. See... I told you all that I've been wanting to learn to crochet for a long time.

Slow Going...

I started a photography class this month with Katrina Kennedy here. I'm a bit behind as I've been nursing tennis elbow in my right elbow and I've also been outside helping the husband with the leaves which isn't really helping the tennis elbow much. We have way to many trees in my opinion and for some reason he keeps planting more. This is just the beginning of alot of raking. : (

I Love This Tree...

Especially all the colors it produces in the fall.
