Inspiration/Interest...

To save on printing scrap stuff, crafty things, recipes etc. that I may or may not try out I have decided to just post the things that inspire/interest me here on the old blog. I tried to figure out tumblr but later decided that since I barely keep up here that maybe having another blog wasn't such a great idea. So here goes. My dear husband gave me a Canon Rebel T1i for Christmas last year and the bag that came with it is OK but I'd really love to have something a little nicer. So after some web surfing I have decided that I'd love to have a bag from jototes. The Rose Teal bag to be exact but as luck would have it its out of stock at this time. I'm in hopes that it will be available soon. I must have it. Go see for yourself the bags are lovely. Here's a peek!

First Harvest...

Sometime last month my daughter gave me a couple of cherry or grape tomato plants. I planted them...hoping for the best...you see I DO NOT have a green thumb AT ALL!  I'm proud to say they are growing great and today I harvested my first little tomatoes. There are plenty more too but they are not ripe enough to pick yet! Oh...and the husband says that they taste great. He ate them right away. I guess I'll taste one from the next harvest.

Library of Memories...

I took this class awhile back over at BPS. I didn't get alot accomplished during the class but I am slowly working on it. Today I gathered all my 12 x 12 and 8 1/2 x 11 layouts together for sorting. I've decided to store all my 12 x 12 layouts in one three ring binder as I only scrap 8 1/2 x 11 these days. My 8 1/2 x 11 layouts will go into three ring binders also and I will use the suggested catagories from the class for starters. This is a very long process but hopefully it will get me scrapping more often. As Stacy said to me in a post on the boards..."slow and steady wins the race."

Lightening Strikes...

Sometime last week we had quite the storm...The wind blew hard, it rained hard, lots of thunder and lightening and it looked as if our whole front yard lit up. The TV went off for a split second and came right back on. I didn't think much about it at the time but my husband noticed that our bedroom clock (a Smart Clock) had quit working. I then noticed that our phone wasn't working either. Anyway we got them straightened out the next day. A couple of days later my husband came in from moving the lawn and said something has stripped a bunch of bark off the tree in the front yard. I looked at him and said I'll bet it got hit by lightening during the storm the other night..he agreed. This tree is right outside our front bedroom window which would explain why the clock and phone stopped working. Here's a picture...
What do you think?

Busy...Busy...

I've been very busy since returning home from New York. Work, rearranging my scrap room which is coming along quite nicely, editing pictures, visiting with the Grandbabies, trying to prepare for the big three day weekend thats fastly approaching and, and you know we all have to much to do. But life is good and I really can't complain.
We have a few plans for the upcoming weekend but I hope to squeeze in a little scrapping as its been so long since I've scrapped anything. I'm still trying to complete some things I have started and am trying to hold off on taking any more classes until they are completed.
I did complete my BPS photography classes, learned alot about my Canon Rebel T1i and got good feedback from Elisha on my final photos for each class. Yea me...I actually completed a class on time.
Better get back to my to-do-list.
Hope you all have a fun-filled Fourth of July weekend!
