Two Weeks In...

Still keeping up with the steps and hoping for better weather. I was short on steps a couple of days last week but not to bad. I'm down to just a couple of diet cokes a day and I'm drinking alot more water than I usually do. Not doing to bad with the sweets either.
I'm way behind in my scrap classes but lucky for me I have forever access. YEA and thanks BPS.  I'm still taking a picture a day for project life and working on my scrap room a little at a time. I have tons of pictures to edit and print and I can only be on the computer a little at a time, my left wrist/hand is giving me fits. If it keeps hurting I may end up seeing a doctor.
We had our Grandson over for a couple of nights this weekend. We watched the movies UP and Aladdin ( I LOVE the movie UP), we ate pizza, popcorn and ice cream, played games and colored. He keeps us busy but we LOVE it. He and Pawpaw went to a motorcycle show yesterday and he got to ride a motorcycle for the first time. He loved it...pictures later. They also went to Bob Evans for breakfast today. My sister and I visited the Zoo yesterday and I stayed home today to do housework. And just like that the weekend is over.
Hope you all enjoyed yours.

Staying On Track...

It's been a week now since I've decided to wear away instead of rust away. So far...so good. I've walked 10,000 steps or more each day for an entire week. I am down to only two diet cokes a day and I've been watching the sweets. I woke up around  2:00 am to 3:00 am Monday-Friday morning with a terrible headache. I think this might be the problem...

I started using it on Sunday and I used it up until Thursday. On Friday I decided that it might be the cause of the headaches so I didn't use it. It seems to throw me off balance and I tend to over correct and tense up. I haven't used it all weekend and I haven't had any HEADACHES since Friday morning. So for now I'm walking around the house like a crazy woman trying to get the steps in. I can't wait for the weather to break so that I can walk outdoors. Gotta go get those s..t..e..p..s in.

Feeling A Bit Rusty...

"You can either wear away or rust away" something that was said to my husband last month. Well I got to thinking that I'd rather not rust away so starting today I've decided to do something about it. One must start somewhere so...

This is where I've decided to start!

It's not as easy to get these steps in as one would think. Try It.
I used an eliptical machine today but when the weather breaks I plan to do some walking/hiking outdoors.
I am also going to be working on better eating habits. I will be cutting back on sweets and diet soda and I will be adding in fruits and lots of water. From here I plan to add some other type of exercise to my routine each week or two. We have a weight machine, freehand weights, the WII fit and quite a few exercise DVD's so I have plenty of options here at home. I'll let you all know how this works out for me. If you stop by...Wish me luck!

Happy Valentines Day,
SUSI

Winter Blahs...

Yes...I've got them! Last night we got quite a bit of snow. I let Deuce out this morning to potty and he looked at me like I was a crazy woman. He put his front paws into the snow and immediately turned around and did his business right outside the back door. He was ready to come back inside in a matter of seconds.

Our rocking chairs on the back deck look like this today.

I've been busy with a couple of BPS classes.  I'm really loving the DYL class with Cathy Zielske, she's such a fun lady and since I'm a simple scrapper this class is right up my alley. Once again I'm not staying caught up but I will do each and every layout assigned. The LOM class with Stacy Julian just started a couple of days ago and I'm just beginning to read through the handouts. I know from reading her book "Photo Freedom" that I'm going to love using her organizational system for my photos. I've got 30+ years of them and it's going to take me awhile but I'll get it done. As Stacy told me today during a class chat "slow and steady wins the race"!
I've been taking a picture a day for my Project Life kit but I'm really having a hard time (I've missed three days so far) there's only so many things to take pictures of at work and at home. I really need to get out more often. And if you are reading this my word for the year is "Balance". I've taken a few pictures for this but could really use some ideas. If you have any please feel free to share.
Once Spring rolls around I plan to take "Getting Out of Auto Mode" with Alicia Snow over at BPS. I have this camera and I cannot wait to learn more about it. I also hear the the 50mm 1.4 (nifty fifty) lens is a great one to have. I'll have to see about getting myself one.

Enjoy the Weekend...
Go Colts!
