Ornaments...

As most of the ornaments on our tree are handmade and couldn't be seen in my last post. I'd thought I'd share a few. The angel was made by my daughter, it has been on our tree for 22 years. The star/santa was painted by me (in my Tole Painting Days). My daughter and I made the bear together. Every year it seems we add atleast one new handmade ornament to our tree. I just love all the memories associated with each and everyone of them.

Troubles...

Sometimes I think I have the worst of luck…our old tree went kaput. The lights were doing crazy things and I didn’t want the house to burn down so I got a new tree which looks a little better than the old one. Oh..and I couldn’t connect to the internet (thanks to Norton). I think things are fixed…at least for the moment. Here's a picture of the new tree-I just noticed the angel on top isn't working. That luck thing strikes again.

First Snow...

It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas. We got our first bit of snow overnight. Isn’t it beautiful?

A Little More Spirit...

Peppermint Bark Hearts-Aren’t they pretty? Try some out…

Small candy canes (shape (2) onto wax paper to make heart). Vanilla candy coating (melted). Spoon melted candy into heart shape and sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top. Cool in the fridge for a few minutes. ENJOY!

Christmas Spirit...

If you need to get in the spirit try this: Turn on the tree, the Christmas music, fix yourself a drink and bake some cookies. Always works for me. Trying out some new cookies this year. These are Rolo Cookies-very simple (4 ingredients) are they are quite tasty too .
